Course overview

Liquid Piping Systems Fundamentals is a practical and interactive course providing a structured introduction to liquid piping systems, hydraulic principles and piping system behaviour commonly encountered in mining, water, wastewater and industrial applications.

The course covers piping system hydraulics, pressure and flow relationships, friction losses, pipe sizing principles, system curves, pump and pipeline interactions, valves, fittings and surge considerations. Participants are also introduced to practical aspects of piping design, installation, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting.

Practical engineering concepts are reinforced using real-world examples drawn from water, wastewater, industrial and mining applications. The course has been developed for engineers and technical professionals who require a stronger understanding of how liquid piping systems behave in real operating environments.
